What Is Sodium/Potassium Hydroxide (lye)?
Sodium and potassium hydroxide (lye) are a key ingredient in soap. There would be no soap without it. It chemically alters the fats and oils we use through the saponification process and leaves you with a product that cleanses you. Imagine if you only used olive oil to clean your skin… we reckon it will cause more of a mess.
There is nothing to worry about with the use of lye, we cure our bars for 6 weeks and to ensure there is zero lye content in the final product.
Is Your Soap Safe For Babies?
Our bar soap is an excellent choice for babies. Our soap is mostly tallow which is perfect for sensitive skin. We recommend using our unscented variation as some babies might be sensitive to essential oils.

I like it but….
I like this soap for my body only, but not for my private parts. It makes my skin feel more moisturized, but my private parts got a rash from it. I think it was caused from the essential oils in it. I will buy again but, I just won’t use it down there anymore.

Good for Sensitive Skin
I really love this soap. I have a bar in my shower and I use one to remove my makeup. I have Vitiligo and it is gentle on my skin. My skin always feels clean. No soap residue. I also use their Sun Grazer Sun Balm. Great product.

Through trying to be more cautious of what I’m putting in/on my body.
Soap was one I just never seemed to find a good one that has less that like 20 ingredients
I can not say enough how much I love this soap this is an extreme bang for your buck as well.

Healthy skin
We really like this soap, during garden season hand washing is excessive and this soap has an old timey feel and it doesn’t dry your hands. It suds up really well and removes oil or grease better than commercial soaps! It will feel really “slicky” but just rinse the bubbles off and dry your hands it’s the tallow effect and yet your hands are not greasy. It doesn’t smell very scented but that’s kinda to be expected with traditional lye soap, it’s still nice and would definitely buy it again.
