It’s happening... RFK Jr. is going head first into exposing the poisons in our food: “Make Frying Oil Tallow Again”.

This is a huge win for those who have been advocating for better health, organic ingredients, and foods without poisons. And who better than the man who lives what he preaches (check physique).

Starting out as an environmental lawyer where he successfully established long term environment legal standards, winning cases against large corporations for polluting riverways. He has since been a forerunner for vaccine harm and misinformation.

Now, he is waking people up around the globe to the harms of seed oils and making food truly healthy again. Starting with the return of tallow in fast food restaurants. McDonald’s famously switched their delicious fries from beef tallow to seed oils in 1992, but not necessarily because it was cheaper, but rather the media was able to convince the population that it was healthier.

Tallow has a long history spanning back to ancient civilizations, prized for its dynamic uses from cooking, medicinal uses, candles, and you guest it, cosmetics.

In the ancient world of the Greeks and Egyptians, tallow from cattle and sheep was beloved for the preservation of food and cooking. It was used largely for preserving dried meats when traveling. This process is better known as pemmican which comes from Indigenous tribes in the northern Americas.

Tallow candles were originally used in the European middle ages as they were less expensive than using beeswax. I would argue that beeswax smells better, as tallow candles can have a smoky odor when burned, but these tallow candles were a huge necessity for lighting homes and churches.

By the 19th century, tallow was used almost exclusively for soap and cosmetics. And with the help of factories, tallow soap was able to be mass produced for the population. Now, in the 20th century both soap and food has been replaced by toxic, synthetic seed oils. Soybean and palm oil became mainstream for their lower cost and good-for-your-heart marketing. No more!

We are excited to see the resurgence in the beloved tallow, and of course will continue to source the highest quality for all of our products.
